Safer Schools, Safer Malls, Safer Movies

Assault rifle ban? Yay or Nay? Clearly something must be done; but is this it? Will requiring background checks and mental health evaluations before approving a gun license help? Let's brainstorm immediate ways in which we can make our society safer.

Gun control is a serious matter these days. However, i still believe we should be able to bare arms for protection and or hunting. I do agree that in purchasing a firearm, they should do background checks of the individual before selling the gun. Precaution should be taken to highest measure in this circumstance to hopefully prevent any more shootings. Unfortunately, people will still purchase weapons illegally to preform such horrific actions.

Gun Control is not going to be a solution for this issue. Money talks money could buy anything no matter what we do to prevent people from getting guns. The big problem that we have is corruption with the gun makers and Military officials that they sell weapons to any criminal as long they have $$$$....

I believe that as us citizens we have the right to bear arms. but some weapons shouldn't be allowed in the us period like fully automatic weapons. you don't hunt with a full auto. and I believe that maybe some at the mall or movies and maybe even the school should have a weapon just in case something goes down

No matter what the government does the black market is always going to be a step head. Banning assault rifles isn’t going to stop people from being kill one another because truly any weapon can do it. I personal think i feel safer owning my own weapon then not have one at all.

Gun control is a serious issue because due to what has happened lately I feel like anyone who purchases a gun should be checked out and ask for what occurrence they will be using it for. I feel we should be more strict about selling weapons to any citizen in or out of state.

I think that anyone who going to purchase a rifle should be asked current questions like: Why do you want it?, What are you going to use it for?, Do you have an official license to carry a rifle?. Because now in days anybody can buy a firearm without a license and they could be carrying the firearm without no one knowing it. Overall, if someone is going to buy a firearm they should be licensed.

Its hard to ban them because they should be guards to make sure that nothing should happen to the movies and anything and everything that they should know what kind of people that are carrying guns.

No we should not ban rifles or weapons. Clearly weapons don't kill. People who intend to use them as a wrong are the ones who should be background checked. More security is what we need to keep us safe from those who intend to harm us.
